    Instructions For Using This List

    1. Most security companies don't go to the applications people fill out unless they're desperate. The person who calls or walks in when they need someone gets the job. It's easier to hire someone who’s standing in front of you. So, you have to check back with them daily.

    2. Frequently, the person answering the phone doesn’t know if they need people. Someone tells them when they get around to it. If they tell you “no,” then call back tomorrow.

    3. If you’re looking for a job now, it’s a good idea to visit and introduce yourself around. And go back.

    4. People leave every day. Supervisors don't get around to doing something about it for a while. They’re busy putting out fires and filling in for the open shifts. So, it pays to keep in touch.

    5. If you’re really looking, it should only take a few days to a couple of weeks.
